Sam McKnight, hairstylist to the world’s most famous models and celebrities has been doing his thing for 40 years. To celebrate this momentous occasion, London’s Somerset House has opened an exhibition dedicated to the him and the work that he does.

Diana Princess Of Wales
Sam McKnight created this style for Lady Di, which saw her move away from her trademark curls to a more sleek layered style just after her divorce to Prince Charles was finialised in 1996.

Hands up who had the ‘Rachel’? This was one of the most iconic styles of the 90’s and one that everyone wanted after Friends aired. Created by her longtime hairstylist Chris McMillan, Jennifer has since gone on to say that this was one of the hardest hairstyle to maintain.

The esteemed American Vogue editor has had this style since she was 15 years old, the fringed bob is without a doubt her trademark now.
Perhaps one of the coolest women of all time, Patti used to cut her own hair when she first moved to New York back in the 1967 – the relaxed style and hint of a fringe has stayed with her for the rest of her career.
Insanely talented Amy Winehouse had a complete style overhaul after her first album. The result was this oversize beehive, winged eyeliner and retro style, and we can’t imagine her without that mountain of hair now.
