After Harry Potter star Emma Watson was seen getting close to her long-time pal Roberto Aguire, here's five things to know about her rumoured new man...
The rumour mill has gone into full-on overdrive after Emma Watson was seen getting close to her rumoured new boyfriend.
New snaps show the Harry Potter star snuggling up to fellow actor and director Roberto Aguire whilst out and about in Los Angeles.
And, whilst the pair are long-time friends that go way back, it’s said that their relationship has blossomed into something more since Emma split from her rugby-hunk boyfriend Matt Janney in December.
But just who is Emma’s new man? Here’s five things to know about Roberto…
1. He gets around
Having been born to Mexican parents, grown up mostly in Switzerland and moved to LA as an adult, Roberto considers himself ‘a third culture kid’. He explains: ‘It’s where your parents are a certain culture, you relate mostly to a different culture, and then you grew up in a place that’s neither of those two cultures…[and] the cool thing about it, is you fit anywhere.’
2. He first met Emma at work…
…as Roberto revealed in an 2012 interview with JustJaredJr.com: ‘I was doing an internship in the special effects department at the time and one day we had a chance encounter that lead to us spending half a day together exchanging stories and dance moves. We never really lost touch after that and now she’s one of my best friends.’ Aww!
3. He worked with Robin Williams on the star’s last film before his death
Roberto appeared in Boulevard alongside Robin Williams, sharing a photo of the pair with director Dito Montiel in July 2014, just one month before Robin took his own life. On the one-year anniversary of the star’s death, Roberto tweeted a touching tribute, writing: ‘No words can encapsulate your genius, and no adjectives can touch your greatness. Miss you boss. #RobinWilliams’.
4. He describes himself as ‘kind of a geek’…
…and confesses he would ‘love to be part of a movie that deals with fantasy – something with dragons or magic!’ PLEASE can JK Rowling just write another Harry Potter book so that Emma and Roberto can co-star in the movie adaptation together!?
5. He seems like a genuinely lovely guy
Rob’s Twitter feed is full of shout outs to his little sister on her last day of school or his best mate ahead of his new TV show starting, AND he seems to have a pretty healthy love of Disney films. What more could Emma want in a boyf?
