X Factor judge Cheryl Fernandez-Versini has blocked fans from following her on Instagram by making her account private. Still, the star has a track record of bold behaviour...

Cheryl Fernandez-Versini has shut down access to all her lovely Instagram snaps by making her account private.

Anyone visiting her page in search of gorgeous selfies of the X Factor judge or cute snaps with her hubby Jean-Bernard will be left disappointed – unless, that is, you already followed her.

Chezza has maintained her 1.7 million followers, but any new would-be followers must request access to view her pics.

And, hinting that nasty trolls caused her to take such drastic action, the former Girls Aloud star has also updated her bio, which now reads: ‘If you’re a negative person swerve. You have no place on my page. Don’t waste your time. Good vibes only.’

Back in July, Cheryl hit back at trolls who criticised her weight, saying she was too thin and calling her a ‘bag of bones.’

At the time, Chez wrote: ‘I would never dream of calling somebody too fat and that they should maybe cut down on their food intake? What is the difference?’

And now it looks as though she’s been forced to take drastic action.

Still, it’s not the first time strong-spirited Cheryl has shocked us. Here’s eight other times she’s kept us on our toes with her bold behaviour…

1. When she got all sweary on us

Cheryl seemed desperate to shrug off her reputation as the nation’s sweetheart with the release of her single I Don’t Care in 2014, the video for which saw her giving some serious attitude whilst singing lyrics including ‘I don’t care / And it feels so f***king good to say, I swear.’ Language!

2. When she ran off and got married to husband Jean-Bernard

Cheryl and French fittie Jean-Bernard had only been dating for three months when they surprised us all by running off to Mustique and getting hitched in July last year.

3. *That* tat

It’s fair to say that everyone let out a little shock-horror gasp when Cheryl unveiled the MASSIVE rose tattoo she had inked across her bum and lower back in 2013. But, despite a negative backlash, Chezza maintained that she loved the £4,000 tat, and posting: ‘People are entitled to their own opinion. Personally I’ve never really concerned myself with other people’s body parts!’

4. When she got a radical new hair do…

…and we LOVED it. Is this red, blunt bob Cheryl’s best hairstyle ever? Quite possibly.

5. When we realised just how much she’s changed since her Popstars: The Rivals days

It’s hard to believe, but Cheryl first entered our lives waaaay back in 2002 on TV talent show Popstars: The Rivals. That’s 13 years ago! And my how’s she’s changed since then, as this picture galley proves.

6. That time she teamed up with Greggs

She may have fame, fortune and a fit husband, but Cheryl hasn’t forgotten her Geordie roots – which she proved recently by joining forces with that fine northern maker of pasties and stotty buns, Greggs, to launch her own charity chocolate bar. Amazing.

7. When she posted a make-up free selfie

…and, with it, basically proved that she’s the most perfect human being in the world. Shocking? Maybe not. A little bit sickening? YEP.

8. Her fall-out with Girls Aloud bandmate Nadine Coyle

Cheryl and nadine had a history of strained relations, but the friendship seemed to be over once and for all when Chezza unfollowed Nadine on Twitter in November 2014. She also had a go at her former band mate, saying she was ‘full of s**t’ and was telling ‘porky pies’ when she claimed she had no part in the band’s original farewell.
