Somehow we can't imagine North West's latest fashion accessory catching on
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are known for taking security very seriously, especially when it comes to their daughter North West but we can’t help but think that they may have taken things too far this time.
Kim, 34, took to Instagram yesterday to share a picture of adorable North, 20 months, sporting a bulletproof vest ahead of dad Kanye’s New York Fashion Week show last week.
‘Look at my little cutie!!! #DaddysMuse #BabyYeezyBulletProofVest’ Kim wrote alongside the snap of the toddler with her tongue sticking out.
North is no stranger to wearing boundary-pushing fashion but it seems her latest look is far from her favourite, the toddler was spotted crying front row as Kanye debuted his new collection for Adidas.
This isn’t the first time Kim and Kanye have gone to extreme lengths to ensure the safety of both themselves and North. Back in 2013 the pair reportedly splashed out a whopping $1million on a bulletproof car and last year Kanye admitted that he feared North was being stalked by drones.
In papers obtained during a lawsuit filed by a photographer against the rapper-turned-fashion-designer Kanye, 37, reportedly asked the prosecutions lawyer, ‘Is your daughter stalked by like drones? Are there drones flying where she’s trying to learn how to swim at age 1?’
He added, ‘Wouldn’t you like to just teach your daughter how to swim without a drone flying? What happens if a drone falls right next to her? Would it electrocute her? Could it fall and hit her if that paparazzi doesn’t understand how to remote control the drone over their house?’
And with Kim sensationally being dragged to the ground by ‘red carpet pest’ Vitalii Sediuk during Paris Fashion Week last September we can hardly blame the parents for being a little fearful for their young daughter.
But while there’s no denying North is one very fashionable tot somehow we can’t see the bulletproof vest catching on with many of her peers…
