Will fashionista Alexa Chung be impressed by Alexander Skarsgard’s dramatic new look?

Alexa Chung might be the fashion one in their relationship but her new man Alexander Skarsgård has proven that he can more than give her a run for her money when it comes to having a unique style.

The 38-year-old Swedish actor only went and showed up in full drag for a film premiere in California last night and looked frankly AMAZING.

Sporting a voluminous blonde wig, bold make-up and a dazzling long golden gown, we barely recognised Alexander as he graced the red carpet for the screening of his new movie The Diary Of A Teenage Girl but we’ve very much in favour of his new look!

The 6ft 4in actor towered above his co-star Bel Powley and the film’s director Marielle Heller, both of whom also wore colourful ensembles for the occasion.

Whilst this is the first time we’ve seen Alexander work the red carpet in drag, he has worn a similarly feminine outfit before. Back in 2006 the True Blood star donned a feminine guise to play Geert in the Swedish film Kill Your Darlings, though it didn’t quite compare to this more dramatic new get-up.

It’s unclear why Alexander chose this particular look for last night’s premiere but who cares when he looks so fantastic?

There’s been no word from Alexa, 31, on what she thinks of the outfit, though as a cutting-edge fashionista we’d imagine she’d approve.

The British model was first linked to Alexander earlier this year when they were spotted looking pretty cosy together during an outing in New York.

Over the coming months their romance looked to be hotting up and by June they were openly holding hands for a visit to the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens.

Alexander’s new film The Diary Of A Teenage Girl hits cinemas on Friday, but admirers of his new look might be disappointed as sadly he doesn’t wear drag in the movie.
