Sad times for avid jungle watchers

I’m A Celebrity 2016 has only just kicked off but it’s ALREADY going off the air – though it’s only temporary.

The latest episode of the reality show has been cancelled so that ITV can show the England vs Spain football match from London’s Wembley Stadium, which kicks off at 8pm on Tuesday evening and takes up IAC’s usual slot in the schedule.

5 of the best I’m A Celebrity bromances of all time

Thankfully for jungle-loving fans this will only be brief as the show returns on Wednesday night but it’s still proved pretty upsetting for those desperate to watch what the stars are up to down under.

‘2 nights in to #ImACeleb and the next ep is already cancelled due to the f***ing football ahh f*** off hate footy!’ one angry viewer wrote on Twitter.

Another posted: ‘#ImACeleb is cancelled tonight because of football!!!??? WTF!!!’

Yep, this news – which was confirmed by Ant and Dec at the end of Monday night’s episode – certainly caused quite a drama…

Some viewers, however, think others might be overreacting a bit to just one night without I’m A Celeb.

‘#ImACeleb in cancelled every year for 1 or 2 nights for footy matches. International games are s*** but it’s only 1 night so get a grip,’ one Twitter user posted.

It’s not like there’s a TOTAL jungle blackout either – spin-off show I’m A Celebrity: Extra Camp is still scheduled to go on air as normal at 10pm on ITV2. Phew!

Besides, Wednesday night’s episode should prove worth the wait by the sounds of it….

Scarlett Moffatt and Carol Vorderman are set to face ‘The Big Bush Bake Off’ Bushtucker Trial, where they’ll undoubtedly be tucking into some, um, interesting grub. Eek!

It might be a far cry from what Scarlett is hoping to munch on, having called out for a chicken kebab during the ‘Tomb Of Torment’ challenge this week.

Yikes, we fear the worst…
