1D’s Liam Payne and Harry Styles have left desperate Directioners wondering if their favourite band will ever get back together…

Each member of One Direction is currently pursuing solo endeavours to varying degrees of success.

Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson have all released new music in the last year – with two of them, we’re told, in fierce competition.

The determination of Harry and Liam, both 23, to be the most successful member of the band is building, and comments about Harry by new dad Liam suggest they’re not as close as they once claimed to be.

When asked about Harry’s single Sign Of The Times, Liam said: ‘I’ll be honest with you, it’s not my sort of music. It’s not something I’d listen to.’

Now understands that Liam is reeling from his bandmates ignoring the birth of his baby boy Bear in March.

‘Liam feels that since he met [girlfriend] Cheryl and had Bear, the rest of the lads have drifted away from him,’ says our source. ‘When the baby was born there were no public congratulations, yet the other lads rallied around Harry to support his career.’

Did Harry Styles just throw MAJOR shade at One Direction ahead of his debut single release?

Although Harry was thought to have been surprised by Liam’s comments, we’re sure he’s not too bothered considering his first solo album has hit the top spot in over 20 countries.

We’re told Cheryl, 33, wants Liam to reconnect with Harry as she feels he’s a good person to have on-side.

The source adds: ‘Cheryl wants Liam to put whatever tensions he has with Harry to one side and reach out to him so they can both pursue their solo careers with each other’s support.’

But Directioners are worried.

When fans realised Liam’s song Strip That Down featured the line: ‘You know I used to be in 1D, now I’m out, free’, one tweeted: ‘We playing the shade game today, @LiamPayne?’ Another said: ‘Okay cool Liam just take every last hope I ever had for them getting back together.’

When asked recently if the group’s hiatus would be ending anytime soon, Liam simply responded: ‘I think everyone deserves to have their own journey. We’ll call each other when the time’s right.’

Let’s just say we’re not holding our breath…
