The details of Prince Harry’s trip to Khulula Care For Wild on his tour of southern Africa will melt your heart
Prince Harry has unveiled a new look and posed for a seriously cute picture during his visit to southern Africa this week.
The 30-year-old royal – who headed to Africa at the end of June for a three-month trip working with conservation projects – is clearly getting into the travelling vibe as he sports a beard in a photo taken last Friday.
Harry was visiting the Khulula Care For Wild team and showed off his new facial hair when he posed for an adorable photo with two young rhinos – awww!
Staff at the project also cuddled up to their famous guest and seemed thrilled to have him there.
Harry – who dressed down for the occasion in a plain top, khaki trousers and a baseball cap – spent plenty of time learning about the team’s work during his visit to the project, which is South Africa’s largest specialist care facility for orphaned rhinos.
According to the African Conservation Experience website the prince got to know the animals and even went for a stroll with one of them!
‘Prince Harry spent several hours talking to the team and the volunteers at Khulula, taking a walk around the premises – accompanied by baby rhino Warren! – and experiencing a feeding round,’ a post about the visit reads.
‘We are sure that getting to know the charismatic little rhino as well as the team who are doing such dedicated work will fuel Harry’s interest in conservation.’
How lovely! Several royal fans were excited to see the pictures and praised Prince Harry on social media, both for his actions and his newly bearded look…
‘this is amazing. Love how much he’s straightened out. Glad he’s helping the world 🙂 #metoo,’ one admirer wrote.
Another cheekily commented: ‘I like the ginger beard.’
Harry – who left the army earlier this year after 10 years of military service – is expected to return home in September.
