The Dark Knight star issues a statement about an alleged incident on Sunday night
Christian Bale has denied the shocking allegations of assault made by his mum and sister.
The alleged incident is said to have happened on Sunday night while the family were staying at London hotel The Dorchester.
Mum Jenny, 61, and 40-year-old sister Sharon, who live in Dorset, filed the complaint at a Hampshire police station yesterday.
Christian, 34 – who attended the London premiere of the new Batman film in Leicester Square last night – was arrested and questioned by police but freed without charge.
The Dark Knight actor’s attorneys have just released a statement:
‘Christian Bale attended a London police station today, on a voluntary basis, in order to assist with an allegation that had been made against him to the police by his mother and sister,’ the star’s lawyers said.
‘Mr Bale who denies the allegation, co-operated throughout, gave his account in full of the events in question, and has left the station without any charge being made against him by the police. At this time, there will be no further comment by Mr Bale.’
