The show has faced some criticism recently...
The BBC has spoken out against claims that Strictly Come Dancing is RACIST.
The dancing show came under fire after Tameka Empson became the second celebrity – who also happened to be the second black celebrity – to be voted off the show.
It came after Melvin Odoom was knocked out by the public vote after Anastacia couldn’t compete in the dance off due to an injury.
And some fans seemed to have an issue that the show had chucked two of the black contestants.
However, a spokesperson told The Guardian: ‘Judges judge the dancing and the dancing alone, not anything else.’
This didn’t stop some viewers from suspecting something was up.
One wrote: ‘#Strictly voters at home show their racist leanings again. 2 shows. 2 black dancers eliminated.’
Another added: ‘Are the people who watch and vote on Strictly Slight Racist’
A shocked Tameka opened up about her exit on Strictly spin-off show It Takes Two last night:
‘Not being big headed but I really thought I put all the right moves in and I didn’t put a foot wrong and just really being in that character.
‘I had a bit of pain in my back but at the end of the day I just used that paid to really drive through.’
