Fans are NOT happy that Jason was on dating app Tinder three weeks after marrying Kate
He came under fire from fans for being on dating app Tinder just weeks after his arranged marriage to Kate Stewart and now Married At First Sight’s Jason Farnsworth Knowles has been described on social media as a ‘budget Benedict Cumberbatch’. Lol!
Fans of the Channel 4 reality show took to Twitter to say the star, who met Kate for the first time at the altar, is a poor man’s version of the British actor.
When someone said that James reminded them of a ‘Pound Stretcher’ version of Scottish DJ Calvin Harris, another fan wrote: ‘We were going with budget Benedict Cumberbatch.’ Haha!
James left Married at First Sight viewers livid by looking for romance on dating app Tinder – despite already being wed to Kate.
During the show, personal fitness company owner Kate revealed her friend had sent her a message saying she’d come across him on the app. ‘A friend just sent me this and so I guess that’s it – the ring’s coming off,’ she told the camera. ‘Instead of coming to meet me right now to talk this through, he’s searching for a new wife on Tinder,’ she added. Gutted.
In a video blog, Jason confided that he didn’t think “the attraction” was there. And when his new wife booked a session with counsellor Jo Coker in a bid to improve the situation, Jason didn’t even bother to turn up.
However, it’s not all bad news for the couples on Married At First Sight. Emma Rathbone and James Ord-Hume have defied the odds and are currently celebrating five months of wedded bliss!
Despite admitting on the show to not fancying her new husband at first, events manager Emma has confessed she felt relieved to see a welcoming face on their wedding day.
Talking to Philip Schofield on This Morning, the 32-year-old said: ‘It was a friendly face at the end of the aisle. I felt utter relief.’ And when Philip asked if a friendly face was a good way to start a marriage, Emma smiled and said: ‘It’s a good start.’
