Ottavio Columbro and Bradley Hunt are determined to prove the critics wrong

They divided the nation with their eccentric costumes, risqué performances and arguments about undercooked chicken (!), but Ottavio Columbro and Bradley Hunt are determined to prove the critics wrong.

After making it through to the judges’ houses round, Ottavio, 24, and Bradley, 25, jetted off to Ibiza to fight for a place in Louis Walsh’s final three – but their X Factor fame has had its drawbacks.

‘We’ve had death threats,’ Bradley says during an exclusive chat with Now. ‘People tweeted that they’re going to batter us, they want to shoot us and they’re even threatening to cut up our mums and put them in boxes.’

Ottavio admits: ‘Sometimes I respond to them, then I think: “Why should I feed the trolls?” People should remember we have dreams as well. We’re an art form!’

Louis is their favourite judge, but they don’t hesitate when we ask who else they love. ‘Sharon Osbourne!’ they exclaim. Has she given them any tips? Ottavio gives Bradley a funny look. ‘She didn’t give us any advice,’ he says in a strained tone. Bradley adds: ‘But she did say we make her smile, which is a good thing!’

Following the dramatic Six Chair Challenge round, axed boy band Yes Lad hit out at Ottavio and Bradley, insisting there was a sing-off between them that wasn’t shown to the viewers…

‘Was there f**k!’ Ottavio shouts. ‘We went backstage, Louis told us to wait until he’d seen all the acts and that he might call us back, then Nicole Scherzinger told him he was missing the spice – us – and he was.’

With two of the biggest personalities on the show, it’s hard to believe them when they say there haven’t been any arguments so far – but they’re not ruling anything out. ‘We haven’t clashed with anyone yet,’ Ottavio says. ‘But give it a week!’
