Celebs including Claire Richards get ready to watch Brian Dowling tie the knot in Ireland

Happy news alert – Brian Dowling is set to marry his long-term partner today!

The Big Brother star will get hitched to Arthur Gourounlian in a lavish ceremony held just outside of Dublin, making their wedding the first celebrity gay nuptials to be held in Ireland since the country voted in favour of legalising same-sex marriage in May.

Brian, 37, actually married Arthur in London earlier this year as they were unsure how the Irish people would vote and so they’re clearly excited that they’re now able to get hitched in Brian’s home country.

The TV star – who shot to fame when he won the second series of BB in 2001 – posted a cute selfie with his bridesmaids last night as he got ready for his big day.

‘Sssshhhh! I’m getting married in the morning.#wedding #fun #groom #bridesmaids #love #family,’ Brian captioned the sweet snap.

We knew we’d seen one of those ladies somewhere and it turns out that it’s none other than Brian’s former Big Brother housemate Narinder Kaur – major BB nostalgia!

The duo have remained friends ever since they appeared on the show together, which we think is pretty adorable tbh.

They’ve been sharing some amazing banter too in the run-up to the wedding. Just last week Brian joked on Instagram that he was mad at Narinder, 42, for indulging in a Nutella breakfast and claimed he’d ‘never forgive’ her.

‘@bprdowling have u ever tried dieting with two kids? I need the willpower of a NUN to say no to pizza, cakes, ice cream….its torture this life,’ Narinder replied, causing Brian to quip in response: ‘U and the word Nun should NEVER be in the same sentence!’

Maybe Brian didn’t want to be faced with temptation just before getting hitched. The TV presenter has reportedly shed a whopping 3st in the build-up to his nuptials and is certainly looking trim at the moment.

We can’t wait to see the pictures from the ceremony, which will be attended by stars including Steps singer Claire Richards. Good luck, guys!

You’ll never guess which Big Brother contestant is now in politics
