A heartbroken Brian McFadden and Vogue Williams confirm they’ve broken up in an emotional statement
The couple – who tied the knot in a ceremony attended by celeb friends in September 2012 – made the shock announcement on Twitter last night by both posting the same emotional statement.
‘It is with sadness that Vogue and I have made the tough decision to go our separate ways,’ reads 35-year-old Brian’s message.
‘We will always care greatly about each other, remain friends and we wish each other all the very best for the future.
‘We have nothing else to say on the subject and we would like to thank our friends and family for their support during this difficult period. Brian x’
Vogue, 29, also shared the sad post and added a heartbroken emoji.
The pair’s social media followers were quick to express their sadness at the news and Dannii Minogue – who attended Brian and Vogue’s wedding – left a thoughtful comment.
‘@VogueWilliams @BrianMcFadden sending you both lots of love,’ the Aussie star Tweeted.
The announcement marks the end of Brian’s whirlwind romance with Vogue, which began when they started dating in 2011.
Just a few months ago the former Westlife star revealed in an interview how he knew right from his first meeting with Vogue that there was a real spark between them.
‘Meeting her was a life changer for me – she’s my soulmate,’ he told the Belfast Telegraph.
‘It was love at first sight when we met. It turned out we were born in the same hospital and grew up five minutes away from one another.
‘We instantly clicked and talked non-stop for eight hours the night we met and I proposed after eight months. Within three weeks she moved to Australia to be with me.
‘Although it was a whirlwind romance, it was just so right from the beginning, so we knew it would work.’
They married in Italy in September 2012 and their relationship appeared to go from strength to strength. In 2013 they reached the final of dancing TV show Stepping Out.
Presenter, DJ and model Vogue has always got on well with Brian’s daughters Molly and Lilly-Sue from his first marriage to Kerry Katona and she and Brian also openly spoke of their desire to have their own children one day.
In fact the last time the couple were pictured together on Brian’s Instagram was out at lunch in London with the singer’s girls six weeks ago. The clan looked a picture of happiness as they posed for a selfie.
‘Family lunch at @clutchchicken #rubbishatselfies #halfheads,’ Brian captioned the cute photo.
In recent weeks Brian and Vogue appear to have been apart a lot though as they’ve been working on separate projects. Whilst Brian has been filming the new series of Who’s Doing The Dishes?, Vogue has recently returned from a Lipsy Clothing trip to Ibiza and has multiple other ventures on the go.
