As Jodie Marsh reveals the unusual place she met her husband, find out where these other celeb couples got acquainted...

Jodie Marsh took us all by surprise when she announced she’d tied the knot back in August and now she’s given us another shock by revealing just where she met her hubby…

Turns out that former glamour model Jodie, 36, got acquainted with her beloved James Placido in a CAR PARK. Yes, really.

Who knew you could meet the love of your life in such a bonkers place? This got us thinking about where other celeb lovebirds first clapped eyes on each other and if perhaps this might help anybody looking for love to locate it in a similar setting.

So here’s 8 places you need to start hanging around at if you want to meet that special someone like these stars did…

1. Car parks

See above – Jodie Marsh says she was instantly smitten with James when she saw him amongst the motors. ‘We met in a car park!,’ she tells Star magazine. ‘He got out of the car and we looked into each other’s eyes. We both knew there and then we were going to be together. It was love at first sight.’ If you’re going to try this a la Jodie Marsh then please be careful of moving vehicles.

2. TV/Film auditions

Will Smith and wife Jada Pinkett Smith are one of the most solid couples in showbiz, so who better to aspire to? The long-term lovebirds met when Jada auditioned for a role on Will’s hit TV show The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air and the rest is history. Awww.

3. Celebrity parties

Before becoming an item in 2012, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West had been friends for many years. They often bumped into each other at celebrity parties and the attraction clearly grew over time. So all you need to do is wrangle some A-list invites and hey presto! You could meet your future partner.

4. Twitter

A slightly different one, this. Twitter is a place you can go to in the hope of meeting someone without even having to leave the comfort of your home, which is always handy. Jacqueline Jossa met fiancé Dan Osborne through the social media site when Dan started following the EastEnders actress – all very modern, eh?

5. School

Now this one is rather tricky because you kind of have to time travel back to your schooldays – sorry. We have to mention it though because it was at school that one of the most adorbs couples in showbiz, Tom Fletcher and wife Giovanna, met back in the day. After dating at Sylvia Young Theatre School, the cute twosome eventually married and are now expecting their second child.

6. Dubai

Got some cash spare? Looking for love? Then hop on a plane to Dubai – this is where Michelle Keegan fell for her future hubby Mark Wright. Well it beats going to car parks (sorry Jodie Marsh).

7. Manchester Arena

On a smaller budget? No worries, there’s always Manchester Arena as a potential love interest scouting ground. Little Mix’s Jesy Nelson met Rixton star Jake Roche at the venue in 2014 and it certainly proved to be a memorable place for them – one year on Jake proposed to Jesy at the very same location, with Ed Sheeran singing in the background. *heart melts*

8. In magazines

Now we never said these suggestions were easy. It was through gracing the cover of FHM that Millie Mackintosh caught the eye of one Professor Green and the pair ended up going on a date after Pro’s publicist put them in touch. The unlikely couple married in 2013 and have been going strong ever since. So all you have to do is a bag a covershoot on a publication your intended will happen to see and who knows, romance could* awaken.

*Disclaimer: we’re making no guarantees any of these ideas will work. Sorry – blame the celebs.
