They're a private pair, but Cara Delevingne and her musician girlfriend St Vincent look loved-up whenever they're seen together
She only confirmed their relationship last month in a cover interview with Vogue, but Cara Delevingne and US musician St Vincent have actually been dating since the beginning of this year. In the interview, Cara couldn’t have given her girlfriend of almost eight months a more glowing review, saying: ‘I think being in love with my girlfriend is a big part of why I’m feeling so happy with who I am these days.’ Aww.
Their relationship first came to light when they were spotted holding hands at the BRIT Awards back in February, and ever since then, they’ve proved they’re literally the cutest. If anyone deserves a #relationshipgoals hashtag, it’s these two.
In their first proper public appearance back in June, they chilled with their pals Maggie Gyllenhaal and Derek Blasberg, an American fashion journalist, at the launch of Stella McCartney‘s spring/summer collection in New York. St Vincent, whose real name is Annie Clark, then turned up to the premiere of Cara’s new film Paper Towns in July, looking ridiculously gorge in a leather miniskirt.
The real clues to their adorable romance, though, are on Instagram (obvs – who doesn’t love being mushy on there?) St Vincent couldn’t resist sharing snaps of them looking at flowers in a field in Denmark and cuddling. She also posted a pic of a guitar autographed by David Bowie that Cara bought her, with the caption ‘best gift in the entire world (heart emoji)’. Yup, she’s so in love, she actually typed ‘heart emoji’ rather than just, you know, using a heart emoji. THAT is dedication.
Most recently, the lovely pair were snapped by a fan at Osheaga festival in Montreal, where Cara – sporting a very on-trend pastel-pink hairdo which we may or may not be fangirling over – was watching her girlfriend play.
There were rumours last month that they’d split, but they looked as coupled-up as ever in their latest pictures. There’s even been talk of them recording music together – we’d love to hear what these two awesome ladies would come up with in the studio.
