Looks like there’s a last-minute change in store
Celebrity Big Brother has ALREADY been hit by drama as it’s reported that contestant Beth Chapman has shockingly been pulled from line-up.
The 49-year-old American reality star was due to enter the house tonight but has been denied a visa to the UK because of her historical criminal record, it’s claimed.
Beth was apparently in trouble back in the late 1980s when she was jailed for shoplifting lemons and then got into bother again in 2013 after an incident with some teenagers in a Colorado park resulted in a warrant for her arrest.
The blonde star said at the time that she was having a day out with her husband Duane with their kids and grandson when a young woman drove past ‘recklessly’, allegedly nearly running her over.
They then had an exchange of words, with Beth saying: ‘She was rude and I was harsh, and that’s the extent of it.’
The girl filed a criminal harassment compliant as under Colorado law it’s considered a crime if someone taunts, challenges or uses ‘coarse language’ against another person.
Beth failed to report to the police station when a summons was issued for her to appear in court, meaning there was then a warrant for her arrest.
There’s been no word from Beth or Big Brother about talk of her unexpected early exit but fans of hers will undoubtedly be disappointed.
It comes four years after her husband Duane – better known as Dog The Bounty Hunter, star of the reality show of the same name – was apparently supposed to join the CBB line-up but faced similar problems due to his past criminal record.
Bosses will be gutted to lose Beth from the list of contestants as they were pretty chuffed to get her on board.
‘Getting Beth for the new series is a real coup for Channel 5,’ a source told The Sun. ‘As reality stars go, she’s one of the world’s most recognisable, and she’s guaranteed to make great telly.
‘She catches criminals for a living, she’s not going to tolerate any z-lister hissy fits and egos from her new housemates.’
The new series of Celebrity Big Brother kicks off tonight at 9pm on Channel 5.
