Marilyn Monroe style appearance wows Sir Elt
As if getting all dressed up in a general’s outfit wasn’t enough of a birthday treat for Sir Elton John, his old mate Barbara Windsor had to go one step further.
The EastEnder made sure her appearance at the singer’s 1940s themed bash went with a bang, by bursting out of a cake and serenading him with her own version of Happy Birthday.
Elton, who was celebrating his forthcoming 60th in a joint birthday party with photographer Sam Taylor-Wood, was said to be taken aback by the special surprise.
‘It was even more surreal seeing Babs Windsor pop out and burst into song,’ a source told the Daily Mirror. ‘She got a massive round of applause and no one clapped harder or cheered louder than Elton.’
The lavish event is only part of Elton’s birthday celebrations. He’s due to have an even more oppulent bash in New York later in the month.
Well, who can blame him? If we had Elt’s millions we’d want two parties too.
