Actress Emma Watson signs up

Harry Potter fans can breath a massive sigh of relief.

Actress Emma Watson, who plays brainy Hermione in the films, has signed up to star in the last two instalments of the series.

There had been fears that The Order of the Phoenix, which is out in July, would be the 16-year-old’s last Potter flick because she was said to be worried about getting typecast.

But she has been persuaded to sign up for the last two instalments in a £2 million-per-picture deal.

‘I could never let Hermione go,’ Emma told the Daily Mirror. ‘I love her too much and love what playing her has meant to me.

‘I’m excited and honoured to be finishing what I started and playing her in all seven of the films.’

Her co-stars Daniel Radcliffe, 17, and Rupert Grint, 18, who play Harry and Ron, have also signed up for the last two movies.
