Comedian gets a new look for film

Without his trademark wild barnet Russell Brand looks almost sedate.

And it’s a look we’d better start getting used to.

The lairy presenter, 31, has had a complete makeover for his role in new movie St Trinian’s, which is based on the classic 50s film series.

Russell, pictured here in 2004 before hitting the big time, has had his wild locks flattened and slicked back in-keeping with his character Flash Harry’s spiv look.

‘Harry’s a shifty character who talks with a cockney accent – so Russell was an inspired bit of casting,’ an insider told the Daily Mirror.

Also starring in the remake will be Rupert Everett, who’ll play the part of headmistress Camilla Fritton as well as her brother Carnaby.
