There’s been cheating, tears and tantrums, but it’s all back on for the TOWIE pair Charlie Sims and Ferne McCann
They’ve been on, off, on and off again so many times that we swear we’ve got whiplash. But now Ferne McCann, 23, and Charlie Sims, 22, are back together – and they’re giving us their first interview since they reunited in April.
‘I’m so happy. When we split, I always felt something was missing,’ Charlie tells us. ‘I was going out and putting on a brave face but the reality was that I was really unhappy and I needed her.
‘I don’t want anyone else but Ferne. I can’t even imagine looking at another girl now. I’ve really matured.
‘I’ve promised Ferne that I’ll propose when we’re both comfortable financially and have moved into a flat together.
‘I’m concentrating on opening a deli at the moment, but ideally I’d like to propose in the next year.
‘I know that sounds quick, but we know each other inside out and we’re in love.’
Charlie, who had flings with 20 girls while he and Ferne were apart, insists he’s changed his bad boy ways.
‘I have no interest in being like that any more. I was a different person back then,’ he says. ‘Now I just want to focus on Ferne and my business. It kills me that I hurt someone I love but I’ve learnt from my mistakes.
‘I was selfish. I wasn’t thinking about her and her feelings. I’d been with Ferne for three years and never been single.
‘I guess I just wanted to try the man-about-town lifestyle, but that’s not me. I was young and immature, but I believe things happen for a reason and doing all of that made me realise how much I needed Ferne.’
