Cheryl Fernandez-Versini has spoken out about the 'anorexic' claims, and body image in general. Isn't she just lovely?!
*Cheryl voice* ‘Aw pet, I know exactly what you’re going through’.
And it seems Cheryl certainly DOES know what a lot of us are going through.
After speaking out about ‘anorexic’ claims that have been surrounding our favourite Geordie princess and her teeny tiny waistline lately, Cheryl then touched on some very important body-image issues.
Speaking to The Mirror, Chez confirmed ‘No, I’m not anorexic, then urged ‘I feel we’re facing a lot of body issues in general- girls are expected to have big booties, girls with thin legs and it’s impossible. It needs to slow down, or stop. It’s highlighting body insecurities and it’s not right’. Oh Chez, you are a dream.
On the subject of her own very delicate frame, Mrs Fernandez-Versini explained, ‘I work 12 to 14 hours a day. I don’t even have time at the moment to exercise – and I don’t need to either. It’s nice that people are concerned, but, honestly there’s no cause for concern’.
Despite Cheryl being labelled ‘gaunt’ and ‘a bag of bones’ (People!!! Didn’t your mother ever teach you the ‘if you have nothing nice to say’ thing?!), it turns out she is actually feeling pretty darn good right now- ‘I went through a period of time where I did become quite guarded, but I am past that now’.
She continues, ‘I got to the point where I was tired of all this rubbish being written about me so I wrote a book and put everything in that. And since then it feels like a new start, and I’ve been more open’.
However not only is the gal feeling good, but she’s also doing good. It was reported last night that Cheryl’s charity Cheryl’s Trust, is now expanding to accommodate new project, Cheryl’s North East Projects Ltd.
The reports allude that this new foundation will concern Cheryl’s old stomping ground, Newcastle, and will see her giving back to her old community (like the absolute babe that she is). A true angel of the North!
Speaking of growing up in Geordieland, Cheryl has previously said ‘I saw many friends who had loads of potential fall into a life of alcohol, drugs and crime. My life could have turned out differently. I know how lucky I am’.
Don’t ya just love her?!
