It might be an unexpected collaboration but Cheryl is 'proud' to be promoting Greggs bakery for a good cause
Cheryl has been the face of many suitably chic products over the years – you know, perfumes, hairsprays, all that glam stuff – but we really weren’t expecting this latest collaboration…
The 32-year-old singer has gone and launched her own CHOCOLATE BAR with high street bakery Greggs – who saw that one coming?!
It’s all for a good cause though as proceeds from the sale of the sweets will go to the singer’s charity Cheryl’s Trust, which aims to improve the outlook for disadvantaged young people in the North East.
Cheryl is clearly excited about the fundraising venture and Tweeted a mouthwatering snap of the bar this morning…
Mmmm, they look yummy! The fact that slim Cheryl is promoting chocolate has come as a surprise to some, given that her weight has come under scrutiny a lot recently, but Chezza has been very involved in creating the bars.
When a fan questioned the reason behind her latest venture the X Factor judge replied:
Cheryl also enjoyed tucking into the choccy during the creation process and got BFF Kimberley Walsh involved too.
Er, we’d have gladly helped with the tasting process, Chez!
Our mouths are watering just thinking about all that chocolate but we’ve got to wait a while before we can get our hands on Cheryl’s bar.
The snack goes on sale on Tuesday 8 September and will only be available for a limited eight week period. 5p from every purchase will be donated to Cheryl’s Trust.
In a press release Cheryl says: ‘It’s great to have Greggs on board supporting The Trust and helping to give back to the North East, it really is a project that is close to my heart.
‘It was lots of fun developing a special treat with Greggs, it was important for me to have something that I enjoy and I’m sure everyone else will love the Greggs Belgian Chocolate Crunch Bar too!’
