After a four-year engagement, Christine and Frank say 'I do' in a star-studded ceremony
The couple got hitched at St Paul’s Church in Knightsbridge, London yesterday with many celebrity guests in attendance and it was certainly worth the wait if Christine’s gorgeous dress is anything to go by.
36-year-old presenter Christine wore a stunning embroidered gown by designer Suzanne Neville, thought to have cost £10,000, which featured pretty long sleeves a la Kate Middleton, a low-cut front and a princess-style full skirt.
Meanwhile Frank, 37, looked dapper in a sharp suit and the newlyweds were both glowing when they emerged from the ceremony as man and wife.
Posing on a red carpet outside the venue, Mr and Mrs Lampard shared a kiss and posed for some adorbs pictures together – awww.
The romantic wedding was attended by stars including Holly Willoughby, Phillip Schofield and Ant And Dec, who we’re sure were all keen to celebrate with the couple at their reception held later in the evening at The Arts Club.
Frank’s daughters Luna, 10, and Isla, 8, from his relationship with Spanish model Elen Rivas were also involved in the ceremony.
It comes after much speculation over the years about when Christine and Frank would finally tie the knot.
The couple started dating in 2009 and got engaged during a trip to Los Angeles in 2011, but have always kept quiet about when they would have their wedding.
Frank spends a lot of his time in America these days after signing for New York City FC in the summer of 2014 and Christine regularly joins her man there, with both often posting cute photos of their time together in the States.
It’s thought that they flew in from the US earlier this week ahead of their big day.
Frank dropped a hint that his wedding might be approaching yesterday morning when he shared a snap of his smart footwear on Instagram with the caption: ‘Judge a man by his shoes 👍’
Congratulations, you two!
