Singer performs twice at star-studded show

Adele was in tears after picking up 6 awards at the Grammy Awards in LA’s Staples Center last night.

The London-born singer, who also performed twice at the event, equalled Beyoncé‘s record of the most wins by a woman in one evening.

‘This record is inspired by something that is really normal and everyone’s been through it, just a rubbish relationship,’ Adele said as she picked up the Album Of The Year trophy for 21.

‘It’s gone on to do things I can’t tell you how I feel about it, it’s been the most life-changing year.’

Adele‘s other prizes were Record Of The Year, Song Of The Year and Short-form Music Video for Rolling In The Deep, while Someone Like You won her Pop Solo Performance.

The 23-year-old earned a standing ovation after returning to the stage for the first time since undergoing surgery on her vocal chords last year.

‘Mum, girl did good!’ Adele shouted out to her audience as she received one of her many awards.
