Benedict's model will wear a dapper suit
Benedict Cumberbatch is set to be made into a waxwork for Madame Tussauds.
The actor, 38, has already sat twice to help sculptors create his figure, which involved hundreds of measurements and numerous pictures being taken of him.
Benedict’s model will be ‘premiere ready’ in a dapper suit and has been described as having a ‘warm and relaxed expression’ with his ‘famous tousled hairstyle’.
Fans will be able to meet Benedict’s alter-ego at London’s Madame Tussauds from October, where it will stand amongst those of A-list Hollywood stars.
These include Kate Winslet, Johnny Depp, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.
Benedict – who rose to fame starring as Sherlock Holmes in the BBC’s drama series – feels very honoured to have been chosen for a place at the famous attraction.
‘Finally I can photobomb myself!’ says Benedict.
‘What a weird and wonderful compliment to be included in the ranks of talent already committed to wax. I’ve been accused of being wooden in my work but never waxy!’
