The singer asks for 'strength to separate herself from anyone who is not a good influence'
The singer, 32, shared a prayer with fans, which read: ‘Lord, I lift up every one of my relationships to You and and ask You to bless them. Help me choose my friends wisely so I won’t be led astray.
‘Give me discernment and strength to separate myself from anyone who is not a good influence.’
In CCTV footage from a Met Ball after party at New York’s Standard Hotel on 5 May, Solange, 27, looks as though she’s shouting at her brother-in-law before hitting and kicking him.
Jay-Z, 44, attempts to fend Solange off – although he never strikes her – while 32-year-old Beyoncé stands by without getting physically involved.
Since the video emerged on Monday, Solange has removed all but one of her Instagram photos of Beyoncé and fans have been speculating as to why the altercation occurred.
However, her older sister posted four shots of the pair looking happy together this morning.
It’s been suggested that Solange – who’s been diagnosed with ADHD – lashed out because Jay-Z gave her a ‘ticking off’ for her ‘irritating behaviour’ during the evening.
Wild and unsubstantiated rumours are also going around that Jay-Z had wanted to attend Rihanna‘s Met Ball after party without his wife.
The rapper reportedly wanted to leave The Standard because he was annoyed that two of Solange‘s friends had tried to get into the bash by saying they were his pals.
Other sources have claimed that things kicked off because Jay-Z had promised to help Solange with her career but told her on the night of the Met Ball that he didn’t have time.
Beyoncé and Jay-Z have been dogged by several unsubstantiated rumours that Jay has cheated since they married in 2008, although there has never been any proof of this.
Beyoncé‘s management declined to comment on the clip to the BBC, while a spokesperson for the hotel said they’re ‘investigating how the video came to be leaked’.
