Vitalii is arrested for misdemeanor battery

Brad Pitt looked shocked after allegedly being hit in the face by Ukrainian prankster Vitalii Sediuk at the LA premiere of Angelina Jolie‘s new film Maleficent last night.

Vitalii, 25, is believed to have jumped over a crowd barrier at the El Capitan theatre and struck Brad, 50 – who was signing autographs – before security intervened and pulled him to the floor.

Los Angeles Police Department spokesman Gus Villanueva told MailOnline that it hadn’t been determined whether Vitalii had intended to lash out but Brad wasn’t seriously hurt.

Vitalii was arrested for misdemeanor battery and remained in police custody overnight – pending payment of $20,000 bail – while Brad continued to walk the red carpet.

Brad and Angelina, 38, took their children Maddox, 12, Pax, 10, Zahara, 9, Shiloh, 7, and Knox, 5, to the bash but Knox‘s twin sister Vivienne gave it a miss.

Vivienne stars as Aurora in the flick, which sees Angelina play her evil stepmother in a re-imagining of the fairytale Sleeping Beauty

Angelina looked stunning in a sleeveless black leather-look gown at the do and was in another section greeting fans when Brad was involved in the incident with Vitalii.

It’s not the first time that Vitalii has caused controversy – last week, he tried to put his head up America Ferrera‘s dress at the Cannes Film Festival.

He’s previously pranked Will Smith, Bradley Cooper and Leonardo DiCaprio.
