The singer is about to have a special birthday
Cheryl Cole doesn’t ever want to use Botox.
The singer – who turns 30 later this month – reckons her mum Joan Callaghan would kill her if she had injections to get rid of the lines in her face.
‘We earn our wrinkles. It’s character, it’s the map of your life,’ says Cheryl.
‘I have great role models in my mum and family. The whole Botoxing and surgery is like, what? They don’t get it, they don’t like it. She’d go crazy.’
Cheryl – who came to fame on talent show Popstars: The Rivals in 2002 and divorced cheating husband Ashley in 2010 – feels she’s ‘lived a lot’ for someone her age.
‘I always used to look up to women in their 30s and think: “This is when women are at their most beautiful, sexy and their most confident,’ Cheryl tells Notebook magazine.
‘That’s what I was aspiring to be and now I’m here too. I feel like: “Cool, I can relax now.”‘
