Kate and William visit London's Middle Temple

Kate Middleton made her first public appearance in the UK yesterday after topless photos were published of her last month.

The Duchess joined husband Prince William at London’s Middle Temple to unveil a new scholarship scheme for disadvantaged students.

Kate, 30, wore a stylish burgundy suit by designer Paule Ka with black tights and suede court shoes, while William, also 30, looked dapper in a navy suit.

Kate is said to still be ‘deeply upset’ about the ‘grotesque’ invasion of privacy she endured when snaps of her sunbathing topless in France were printed – but she’s determined to continue with her official engagements.

She and Wills today met England footballer manager Roy Hodgson and his squad at a new training facility in Staffordshire.

Tomorrow, she will attend four events alone as William will attend the funeral of his childhood nanny Olga Powell.
