William meets footballer Ashley and the boys

Prince William joked around with Ashley Cole when he and Kate Middleton met members of England’s football squad at the FA‘s new training centre yesterday.

William, 30, made reference to Ashley‘s controversial Tweet over team mate John Terry‘s racism trial, which branded football’s governing body a ‘bunch of tw*ts‘.

‘If you continue to be a naughty boy, they’ll take your Twitter account off you,’ William told him.

Sheepish Ashley, 31, hung his head and avoided eye contact with Wills but the pair were later seen laughing together.

William and Kate, 30, also met Wayne Rooney, Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard at the £105 million St George’s Park training centre in Staffordshire.

Kate wore a £325 grey wool coat from high street store Reiss, which she paired with a £69 black belt.

The Duchess of Cambridge quipped that she’d have had a kickabout with the players if she’d ‘brought her boots along’.
