The Duchess picks up a couple of things in Chelsea

Kate Middleton was snapped shopping for soft furnishings to decorate her little boy or girl’s room last week.

The Duchess, 31, spent 45 minutes at Chelsea store Bernard Thorpe on Tuesday looking at pieces for Kensington Palace‘s nursery.

Kate – who’s due in five weeks – was accompanied by a woman who’s believed to be her lady-in-waiting.

The mum-to-be showed off her baby bump in a pretty navy blue dress, which she matched with a pink cardigan and a pair of pale wedges.

Earlier that day, she’d joined husband Prince William and members of the Royal Family to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Queen‘s coronation at Westminster Abbey.

It’s believed Kate chose a couple of items for her child’s room – but gave nothing away about what gender the royal baby may be.

She bought gender-neutral fabrics in beige and brown.

Kate was fascinated by all the designs and picked out two. She had very definite ideas about what she liked,’ a source tells the Daily Star Sunday.

‘She didn’t put on any airs or graces. She said she’d got so many ideas after coming in.’
