Duchess of Cambridge will also travel to Leicester

Kate Middleton will join the Queen on two Royal engagements next month, including a trip to up-market London ‘luxury hamper’ store Fortnum & Mason.

The pair will be accompanied by Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, as they enjoy a day of lunch and shopping on 1 March as part of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations.

‘The Queen and 2 Duchesses are all very much looking forward to it,’ says a source.

The Queen, 85, Camilla, 64, and Kate, 30, will also unveil a plaque in the store, which marks Piccadilly’s regeneration.

Kate, whose husband Prince William, 29, is away in the Falklands with the RAF, will also join her grandmother-in-law and husband Prince Philip, 90, for the launch of the jubilee tour in Leicester on 8 March.

Kate has a lot to learn from the more experienced Royals,’ a source tells the Daily Mirror.

‘What better way to see how it’s done than to watch the expert, the Queen, at work up close?’
