Katie's daughter helps her feel better after surgery

Katie Piper had a very special person helping her through an unpleasant operation yesterday.

The TV presenter visited London’s Centre For Sight to undergo a serious procedure on her left eye, which was blinded when she was attacked with acid in 2008.

Despite the surgery, Katie managed to stay upbeat thanks to lots of cuddles from her baby daughter Belle Elizabeth.

‘I had big operation @centreforsight 2day No pain relief needed my little lady takes all pain away just by lookin@ me,’ Tweeted Katie.

Katie left the clinic with a large eye patch but shared a smiley photo of herself hugging two-month-old Belle and joked that she was ‘rocking the pirate look’.

Aside from her eye, Katie was also left with damage to her face, lungs, throat, arms,

hands, neck and chest when ex Daniel Lynch arranged for sulphuric acid to be thrown over her six years ago.

But the inspirational star has now found happiness with carpenter boyfriend James, 29, and the loved-up couple welcomed little Belle in March.

‘I’m very grateful for my life and the wonderful people who are now in it,’ Tweeted Katie earlier this week.
