Kelly thinks Kate deserves her privacy
The TV star thinks it’s unacceptable that the photographer used a long-lens camera to snap the royal couple at their chateau in Provence.
‘I think what they’ve done to her is disgusting, I really, really do,’ says Kelly, 27.
‘Everyone has the right to privacy no matter who you are, no matter who you are – it’s disgusting.’
Kate and William‘s barrister yesterday lodged a criminal complaint in a court hearing in Paris against Closer France for printing the intimate pictures.
This could technically end in a 1-year prison sentence and a £36,000 fine
for the magazine’s editor Laurence Pieau and the photographer.
Kelly believes that Kate, 30, should have been allowed to take her bikini off to get an even tan without having to worry about the consequences.
‘The thing… I don’t get… is if she had a tan line they would rinse her for it, they would rinse her for it so she can’t win either way, so I just think it’s really awful,’ Kelly tells Lorraine Kelly on her ITV show.
‘The one thing that is hers is her body, you know what I’m saying. Everything else belongs to the country.’
