1D's Liam reckons Zayn finds being famous tough

Liam Payne thinks Zayn Malik is still finding it hard to adjust to being a member of one of the world’s most successful boy bands.

The One Direction singer was concerned that Zayn, 19, had taken criticism from vicious internet trolls to heart when he deleted his Twitter account in August.

‘The only person I really worry about is Zayn, because I don’t think he’s accustomed to all of this,’ says Liam, 19.

‘He had a terrible time on Twitter. I don’t think he’s quite adjusted to it yet, I’m sure he’ll get it.’

Liam is known as the ‘sensible’ member of 1D and admits he often plays dad to keep an eye on his band mates’ antics.

All five boys have formed a close bond since they were put together on The X Factor in 2010 and Liam wants to make sure Zayn doesn’t end up getting disillusioned with fame.

‘He’s my best mate,’ Liam tells The Sun.

‘I’ve got to look out for him.’
