The One Direction singer announced his break-up last weekend

Louis Tomlinson‘s mum Johannah Deakin has got One Direction fans all confused with a VERY mysterious Tweet.

The mother-of-seven wrote on the social media site earlier this week: ‘Surprise! Not really!’

The message apparently came out of the blue, with Johannah‘s previous posts being about hair curlers, a charity auction and her twin daughters Daisy and Phoebe‘s 11th birthdays.

Which has left Directioners wondering just WHAT she’s talking about.

Understandably, a number of followers reckon it could have something to do with Louis‘ break-up with long-term girlfriend Eleanor Calder, which was confirmed last weekend.

Louis and Eleanor split up two weeks ago. They have not announced this as they wanted some privacy,’ revealed a spokesperson at the time.

Some thought she may be implying that the end of Louis and Eleanor‘s relationship wasn’t a shock, with one saying: ‘that really was not a surprise.’

Others seemed to hope that Johannah meant Louis and Eleanor going their separate ways was all a big joke and that they’re actually still together.

Most simply wrote comments such as: ‘elounor breaking up,’ ‘ELOUNOR,’ and ‘This is about elounor.’ (Elounor refers to the joint name 1D followers gave the ex-couple).

But as usual, a small group of devotees were convinced Jay‘s Tweet referred to the unfounded rumours of an alleged romance between Louis, 23, and his bandmate Harry Styles.

Er, yeah. Really.

The ‘coupling’ is called Larry Stylinson and while it’s quite clearly ridiculous, it didn’t stop believers writing to Jay: ‘Literally all Larries when Elounor “broke up”,’ and: ‘Larry?’

However, quite a few assumed Jay was talking about something completely different – potentially Zayn Malik‘s departure from 1D, although her post came a day before this was announced.

As one fan noted: ‘poor woman is probably tweeting about nothing Larry related and now has 5 million notifications 😄 .’

We wonder if she regrets writing it?!
