The singer practises his technique
The One Direction star, 22, will step out on the pitch this evening as part of the reserve team’s Yorkshire derby against Rotherham United.
Yesterday, he donned the Rovers‘ red T-shirt, a woolly hat and black jogging bottoms to run and shoot a few balls with his new teammates.
Louis signed for the club as a non-contract player last August but had to withdraw from his first match in September due to injury.
The singer – who’s loved-up with girlfriend Eleanor Calder – ended up vomiting after Aston Villa‘s Gabriel Agbonlahor tackled him during a charity game in Glasgow.
This time, his clash at the Rovers‘ Keepmoat Stadium will raise money for children’s hospice Bluebell Wood.
‘Louis has an incredibly busy schedule and we have been working hard with him to ensure we can get a date in his diary for the game,’ Rovers‘ chief executive Gavin Baldwin tells the Daily Mail.
‘He is a lifelong Rovers supporter and he comes to watch the team whenever he can, so it will be great for him to put on his Rovers shirt and make his debut for us.’
