Amy Winehouse’s father believes the singer deserved more

Mitch Winehouse thinks his late daughter Amy deserved more recognition at the Grammys on Sunday.

London cab driver Mitch picked up the Golden Gramophone Award at the LA ceremony on behalf of his late daughter – but felt that wasn’t enough.

Amy got her Grammy. We are so proud of her,Tweets Mitch, 60.

‘I am a little disappointed that apart from the award Amy wasn’t mentioned. Apart from that, it went well.’

Amy, who won the gong for her Body And Soul duet with Tony Bennett, was found dead in her Camden home at the age of 27 last July.

‘We shouldn’t be here,’ Mitch told the audience at the Staples Center as he accepted Amy‘s posthumous prize.

‘Our darling daughter should be. These are the cards that we’re dealt.’
