The TV chef used an interesting method to shed the stone
Nigella Lawson reportedly visited a hypnotist to help her lose over 2st in weight.
The TV cook, 53, is said to have paid £295 for a course of sessions with therapist Susan Hepburn, who put her into a ‘relaxed state of consciousness’ before encouraging her to eat smaller meals.
‘Nigella loves food and always will. She will never compromise on epicurean delight for the sake of her waistline and isn’t the kind of woman to survive on rice cakes and cottage cheese,’ says a source.
‘But she wanted to lose a few pounds, and decided hypnotherapy would mean she could still eat her favourite foods – but in smaller sizes.
‘Nigella was thrilled with the results. She has also learnt self-hypnosis which she will be able to use for life.’
Shortly after apparently getting hypnotised, Nigella – who went from a size 16 to a size 12 in 14 months – began sharing photos of her petite portions on Twitter.
She’s managed to keep the pounds off by doing pilates and working out with a personal trainer.
Susan Hepburn told the Daily Mirror last night: ‘It is my policy never to comment on whether or not someone is a client.
