DVD features footage from the lads' gigs in US, Australia and New Zealand earlier this year
One Direction‘s popularity around the world shows no signs of dying down.
The band’s DVD Up All Night: The Live Tour has hit the top spot in 25 countries including the UK, US, Mexico, New Zealand and Sweden.
And the boys have made chart history in America, as it’s the first time ever a DVD has outsold the No 1 album in the Billboard Chart.
On home turf, the boys have shifted more copies in week one than anyone else in the UK charts this year.
‘We’re blown away by the success of the DVD all around the world and want to thank everyone who has gone out and bought it, the support means so much to us,’ says Niall Horan, 18.
‘It was lots of fun filming the concert for the DVD, so we’re chuffed all the fans love it so much.’
Niall – plus band mates Louis Tomlinson, 20, Zayn Malik, 19, and 18-year-old Harry Styles and Liam Payne – also made chart history in March when their album Up All Night reached the top spot in the US Billboard 200 chart.
They became the first ever British group to go straight to No 1 in America with their debut album.
‘Massive thank you to everyone who has ever supported us. We would be nowhere without you and I assure you we never take it for granted 🙂 xx,’ Tweeted Louis, 20.
