The 1D boys show their caring side
One Direction thrilled a group of seriously ill children last week when charity Rays Of Sunshine organised for them to spend a day with the sick youngsters at a London hotel.
1D took an afternoon out to meet their fans, including a little girl who admitted that Harry Styles had helped her recover from an accident which left her with serious burns.
‘You were my inspiration to get better. I even had a reward chart with your face on it and when I learnt to do things again, like walk, I got a star,’ Niamh Wyle, 7, told Harry.
‘You’re my favourite. I think you are very cute and funny.’
The boys’ efforts were rewarded last night when they picked up the Ultimate Men gong at the Cosmopolitan Ultimate Women Of The Year Awards.
They couldn’t make it to the ceremony but Harry, 18, showed his appreciation on a pre-recorded video message.
‘We cannot believe we’ve been voted Ultimate Men Of The Year,’ said Harry.
‘Most people still say that we’re boys.’
