Peter Andre and his family have been shaken by the news that his brother Andrew‘s cancer has spread.

The reality TV star rushed to Australia to visit his 54-year-old sibling last month after he was diagnosed with kidney cancer, but returned home hopeful that 2 huge operations would be a success.

Sadly, the doctors haven’t yet succeeded in removing all the malignant cells.

Andrew‘s test results weren’t good at all,’ says Pete, 39.

‘Unfortunately, the cancer has spread and it’s the outcome we were all dreading.

‘We’re trying very hard to stay positive but it’s really knocked us all for six and, if I’m honest, I’m not dealing with it very well.’

Pete – who calls his 4 brothers and 1 sister his ‘best friends’ – says the bad news has brought his family closer together.

‘I don’t mind admitting that there have been quite a few tears on my part,’ says Pete.

‘When someone in my family suffers, we all suffers.

‘That’s how we deal with things. But you’ve just got to pick yourself up and focus on a plan of action.’
