Wills impresses in tests

Prince William is now a qualified search and rescue captain in the Royal Air Force.

The Duke of Cambridge – also known as Flight Lieutenant Wales – impressed in his 2 days of tests, which involved mock rescues including an air search for a yacht from his Sea King helicopter.

Flt Lt Wales demonstrated the very high standards required for the award of Operational Captaincy,’ says Wing Commander Mark Dunlop.

Kate Middletonis, of course, delighted her husband is doing so well in his career, but  Wills – who started serving with the squadron at RAF Valley in Anglesey in 2010 – has to make a tough decision between his job and starting a family.

William‘s main goal is to be a father,’ says our source.

‘But at the same time he loves the thought of staying in the forces.’
