The singer is sure the 1D boys sometimes fall out

Robbie Williams reckons the One Direction boys might not get on as well as they appear to.

The singer had a notoriously tense relationship with band mate Gary Barlow during his years in Take That and he thinks 1D are likely to be facing similar problems.

‘I loved Gary and disliked him,’ says Robbie, 38.

‘I’m sure that in One Direction right now, there’s going to be hatred between certain members for certain things – all young and daft stuff.’

Aside from his issues with Gary, 41, Robbie also hit the headlines in the 1990s for his wild nights out and for playing the field with women.

He’s now married to actress Ayda Field and welcomed daughter Theodora Rose last month – but he says it’d be a very different story if he hadn’t given up alcohol.

‘It’s a hundred times easier when you don’t drink, and I don’t drink,’ Robbie tells Shortlist.

‘If I drank, we’d literally be f*cked. If I drank, I could not keep it in my trousers at all.’
