Whitney was 'out of it' in the days before her death
Whitney Houston last went into rehab in May 2011, but in the days before her death on 11 February at the age of 43, she looked in a bad way.
On 2 February, the day after having dinner with ex-husband Bobby Brown, 43, she was pictured collapsing into her car outside a doctor’s office.
An onlooker told a US mag: ‘She seemed out of it. Someone even asked if they should call 911.’
On 9 February, she again acted erratically as she crashed an E! TV interview with Clive.
That night she downed tequila and yelled abuse at former X Factor USA contestant Stacy Francis at LA’s Tru Hollywood club after seeing her talking to her on-off boyfriend Ray J.
She screamed: ‘I’m a cougar, bitch, get away from my man!’
Despite such worrying scenes, no one stepped in to stop Whitney. Instead, she continued her 48-hour bender at the Beverly Hilton the following evening.
Detectives are also expected to launch a probe into whether Whitney should’ve had the prescription medication discovered in her possession.
Xanax pills were among the haul in her suite – it can be fatal when mixed with booze.
The biggest question, however, is: why did it take her entourage so long to check on her in the bathroom?
‘There’s a lot of people asking “What if?” right now,’ says a source. ‘But it’s too late.’
