Friends star and husband have had counselling to save their marriage
Courteney Cox and David Arquette called in a therapist to help them cope with a marriage crisis.
The former Friends star, 42, and her actor husband, 35, went to see a therapist three months ago after they found themselves fighting in front of the paparazzi on holiday in Sardinia.
In an interview with America’s Life weekend magazine, Courteney says: ‘I could see how relationships break up if you don’t go, “What are we doing?” So we went to a therapist.’
The actress poured out her problems to a close pal, actress Laura Dern, who advised her friend to seek counselling help.
After fixing her marital problems, Courteney decided to do a bit of navel-gazing herself – to ‘take care of her own issues’.
She adds: ‘I’m a great caretaker but one thing I’m not good at is taking care of myself. My goal for this part of my life . . . is to be more nurturing to myself.’
