Little Mix star Perrie Edwards appears to take a dig at her ex Zayn Malik in a pretty bold way...
Perrie – who was reportedly dumped by Zayn via TEXT MESSAGE in August – has appeared to take a dig at her ex by calling him a very rude word in a new interview with her Little Mix bandmates!
Whilst discussing their break-up anthem Hair in a chat with UTV’s Total Access, the girls were asked about their use of some colourful language in the track. The tune contains the lyric: ‘He was just a d*ck and I knew it’
Jade Thirlwall defended the cursing by explaining: ‘Well you know sometimes when you break-up with someone they are that word so it’s alright to say in a song’
Then Perrie, 22, jumped in with a very telling comment that’s made Zerrie fans’ jaws drop.
‘Yeah it is. He was just a bellend and I knew it,’ said Pez. Ms Edwards, wash your mouth out now!
The cheeky remark has got everyone speculating that Perrie was referring to former fiancé Zayn, 22, following their summer break-up. Their split came two years after they got engaged.
Ex-One Direction star Zayn doesn’t appear to have publicly responded to Perrie’s harsh words, though he did post a mysterious photo of himself smoking and playing a computer game yesterday whilst looking rather carefree.
Fans have been quick to react to the apparent smackdown on social media, with many proudly declaring themselves Team Perrie Edwards.
‘For fear of sounding too Oprah, you go girl!! 🙌🏻,’ one admirer commented.
Another Tweeted: ‘Team Perrie all the way❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️’
It comes amid rumours earlier this month that Zayn had gotten back in touch with Perrie whilst she’s off promoting Little Mix’s new album Get Weird.
A source told the Daily Star Sunday that ‘Zayn has started messaging Perrie again saying he misses and still loves her.
‘Although Perrie is trying to be strong and move on, it’s obvious to everyone around her she’s still in love with Zayn.’
Does Perrie’s latest statement prove she’s now moved on, we wonder?
