With I'm A Celebrity due to kick off very soon, speculation over who's going to the jungle is getting VERY interesting!
I’m A Celebrity will soon be back on our screens (woohoo!) and the inevitable rumours about who’s heading Down Under are flying around.
But the latest gossip has left us pretty shocked, tbh. Apparently former Dragons’ Den businessman Duncan Bannatyne and Watchdog host Anne Robinson are being lined-up for a stint in the jungle – who’d have thought it?!
Yep, it’s been reported that Duncan, 66, has signed up for the upcoming series and wants to take girlfriend Nigora Whitehorn along for support, as well as ‘several’ of his six kids from previous relationships.
‘Duncan is really excited about I’m a Celebrity and sees it as a new challenge after Dragons’ Den,’ a source tells The Sun.
‘He and Nigora are madly in love and he cannot wait for her and some of his children to join him out in Australia.’
But Duncan has given a rather cryptic response to the speculation on Twitter when a user Tweeted: ‘The Sun are claiming that @DuncanBannatyne is heading into the #ImACeleb jungle!’
The Scottish entrepreneur responded: ‘Are they now? They have not asked me.’
Hmmm, interesting! We’ll have to wait and see on that one then but there are plenty of other celebs being linked to the show at the moment, including 71-year-old TV star Anne.
Despite previously claiming that she didn’t fancy doing the show, Anne is reportedly ready to accept a big-money offer to join the line-up.
In fact the Daily Star claims ITV could be offering £750,000 – blimey.
Anne once said that the show had tried to woo her with a £500,000 contract but that she ‘just wouldn’t do it’.
‘[Some people] keep themselves on the screen, but I’ve never bothered with any of that,’ the straight-talking host told Radio Times.
Other famous names who’ve being touted as potential I’m A Celebrity stars this year include Louis Walsh and Vicky Pattison. Ooh, we can’t wait!
