The TOWIE star is getting ready to become a single mum

Ferne McCann has broken her silence on those pregnancy rumours and confirmed that she IS expecting Arthur Collins’ baby.

The former TOWIE star spoke out about her shock news on Monday, just a day after her former boyfriend Arthur was arrested in connection with an acid attack at a London nightclub that left 20 people injured.

Ferne McCann’s ex-boyfriend Arthur Collins arrested in dramatic scenes

Arthur, 24, has since been charged with 15 offences including wounding with intent and throwing corrosive fluid on a person, and will appear at Thames Magistrates Court in London today (Monday 24 April).

With this continuing to unfold, Ferne has admitted that she’s under a lot of strain as she faces her pregnancy alone.

‘Ferne is grateful for the sympathetic way news of her pregnancy has been covered and people’s support and obviously her first concern is for her child’s health,’ a rep for the 26-year-old says.

‘Accordingly she does not wish to discuss the pregnancy further given the early stage it is at and the immense strain that Ferne is currently under.’

Ferne has also made it clear that she is definitely not in a relationship with her unborn baby’s father any more and is going to focus on being a single mother.

‘Nor does she wish to discuss her ex-boyfriend,’ the spokesperson tells The Mirror. ‘Who she does not recognise from the events of the last week.

‘Ferne is in no way seeking sympathy for her situation and is determined to do all she can to have a happy and heathy child and face the challenges of being a single parent with all her energy.

‘Her thoughts are with the victims of the horrific attack on Easter Monday.’

It was previously reported that Ferne had broken the news of her pregnancy to Arthur just before the attack.

She had also spoken out about their relationship just days before police announced they were seeking him and confessed that she hoped they’d get married one day.

When it emerged that her boyfriend was wanted in connection with the acid attack – which left a man and a woman blinded in one eye and resulted in others suffering severe burns – Ferne urged him to go to a police station.

She also confirmed that she was not with Arthur at the time of the incident and had no knowledge of the events at Mangle in Dalston.

As well as Arthur’s arrest, 21-year-old Andre Phoenix has been charged on seven counts of grievous bodily harm.
